The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The rooms while old and basic, were unique and had some character. A bit refreshing after two weeks of chain hotels. Everything was clean and worked well.
A bit out of the way and a little hard to find.

The restaurant, which served great food at reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Calm surroundings. Free parking.
There was renovation work going on, so I suppose it will get a fairly neede facelift. A bit rund down and gloomy.

Fabulous food More ideas for walks than we had time for. We were loaned a walking guide book which helped and given lots of advice. The welcome after the walk and the promptly offered cold water were very welcome.
My husband found the bed rather hard which spoiled his sleep. The cold tap didn't work easily.
